MNP protective masks with hygiene during CORONA. We also wear them. But only “SENSE FULL” with protection against fungi and bacteria!

Our hygiene MNP protective masks with antibacterial effect

Definitely NO. We do not like CORONA protective masks.

If we are forced to do so by legal regulations (unfortunately without considered hygiene regulations), then (or so we thought) we will choose something as hygienic as possible. Maximum antibacterial effect with good wearing comfort, isn’t that how it should be?

The legislator prescribes an “optical” mask in our perception, but there is almost nothing to be found in terms of quality requirements. Yes, perhaps the acceleration of breathing is prevented when breathing or coughing – but the corona viruses slip through the standard masks with low protective filters without any problems.

But for us, this was only one side of the coin. The other side of the medal is the point mask & hygiene. And there it gets nasty.

The majority of people wear their masks perhaps for far too long, and the masks turn into bacterially contaminated hygiene centrifuges. Actually, we ourselves have always found it “disgusting” to wear them longer – but what do you know for sure?

We do not see the politicians or determiners of laws and regulations as decision-makers – so the “medico-hygienic evaluations” from our perception of this protective mask point are to be considered rather low.

Sensible hygiene rules, keeping distance and protective measures against unnecessary infection of fellow humans are important.

From the hygiene of protective masks: fortunately there are the Swiss Confederates!

Yeah, right. They were thinking, what about the hygiene of the masks? The test was conducted in Zurich, Switzerland. The consumer magazine “K-Tipp” examined how clean the hygiene masks of commuters were after wearing them.

In the meantime, laboratory results are available and they are clear. We have a catastrophic bacterial and fungal infestation in and through masks.

  • A laboratory test shows: Bacteria were found on masks of Zurich commuters. 20 masks were examined.
  • The three most important bacteria are staphylococci as well as moulds and yeasts. However, these bacteria do not only collect on the masks.
  • The disposable masks of commuters are covered with bacteria and fungi.
  • Many of these commuters claim to have worn the mask for days or weeks.

Yes, the bacteria and fungi proliferate, virtually exploding on masks!

The findings of the laboratory are alarming. 11 of the 20 masks examined would have contained over 100,000 bacterial colonies, three of which were even over a million. A sample of touch screens from the ticket machines served as a comparison. The value there was between 3 and 69 such colonies.

The microbiologists found staphylococci on 14 masks of the test objects. These occur mainly on the mucous membranes of humans and animals. Some types of staphylococci can cause pneumonia or meningitis.

On 15 of the masks, the laboratory technicians discovered moulds and yeast fungi. According to the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health, inhaling the spores could cause respiratory tract and eye irritation.

While healthy people need hardly fear any consequences, the situation is different for people with weakened immune systems. Inhaling the spores could lead to allergies, asthma or even bronchitis.

Protective masks Caution: bacteria and fungi reach the mask via the hands

The masks filter the air flowing through with droplets. Bacteria and fungi up to 100 times larger than the mask are trapped – the corona viruses (with a size of 120 -160 nm) pass through the standard mask filter material – provided they are not bound to “droplets”.

BUT: On the warm and humid masks the bacteria could multiply wonderfully fast. Fungi, on the other hand, do not multiply on the mask.

But bacteria and fungi also reached the mask from outside via the hands if the mask wearers touched the mask with unwashed hands.» Report: Commuter masks are full of bacteria and fungi» Report: Masks become so infectious by bacteria and fungi when worn for a long time

Our TIP: The new ANTIWAVE protection mask. If already prescribed, then at least optimal!

Attention: Wash only at max. 60 °C and only with detergent without brightener. Otherwise the silver coating will be damaged or destroyed.

Long developed and now as a well thought-out protective mask with low odour and surprisingly pleasant wearing comfort.

MNP mouth and nose protection mask

The washable ANTIWAVE MNP protective masks for mouth and nose that we use are much more than an ordinary protective mask or fabric mask.

They are designed for daily use and are based on the NEW ANTIWAVE shielding material – with additional antibacterial effect due to the pure silver contained!

Legal regulations currently impose a burden on all of us, which divides people in terms of meaningfulness due to a lack of proper knowledge management.

Somehow funny: We are actually talking about protective masks against pandemics like Covid-19. From a medical point of view it is clear that the commercially available simple protective mask does not protect against viruses, and the ANTIWAVE protective mask is no exception.

For a reasonable protection against viruses, protective masks of the FFP3 class are necessary, even FFP2 respirators are not effective enough.
