Our 100% natural sun cream protects the skin with SPF 30 / SPF 45 from damaging UVA and UVB sun rays. Plant-based oils and extracts contained in the sun cream, such as BIO sea buckthorn oil, karanja oil, macadamia nut oil, heal the skin and effectively prevent loss of moisture at the same time.
The special thing about this PROnatur24 SPF 30 / SPF 45 sun cream is the physical light protection or mineral safelight filter. This is made out of titanium dioxide, contains NO NANOPARTICLES, and is therefore 100% natural. The high SPF 30 / SPF 45 sun protection is achieved by reflecting the harmful UV radiation through the titanium dioxide. The sun cream does not seep into the body, but remains on the skin as an invisible film – we do not use any nanotechnology for this either (which in turn could get into the body from the skin). The mineral UV filter builds a protective layer on the skin and reflects UV rays like countless tiny mirrors.

The specially developed formula in the PROnatur24 SPF 30 sun cream enables comfortable application on the skin without having to stick and without any visible residue on the skin. Sun creams with mineral light protection are different, so is the PROnatur24 SPF 30 / SPF 45 sun cream.
What applies to all mineral sun creams also applies to our SPF 30 / SPF 45 sun cream. Our sun cream is a sensation that offers the skin great protection from UVA and UVB. Despite the high level of development, a mineral sun cream cannot be applied to the skin as well as commercial sun creams with parabens, microplastics, and chemical additives. However, we do not see a drawback.
The active protective filter and film on the skin are also lightly visible before jumping into the water at the latest. This is the evidence that the sun cream does not move into the skin, but it protects while on the skin. Choosing a mineral sun cream is a conscious decision for healthy sun protection without compromise. Nothing more and certainly nothing less!

Simply apply it extensively on your skin before sunbathing. We generally recommend avoiding the midday sun.
Helpful tip for applying the sun cream
Put enough cream in your hand, put your finger in it and dab it all over your skin. Then, thoroughly spread and “massage” it in with circular movements. The sun cream is spread nice and evenly this way for all-around protection from UVA and UVB.

A few sun protection tips for all men and women
- Apply cream several times! Applying cream once is not enough to protect your skin from the sun for the whole day. Sweating, swimming, abrasion etc. cut the sun cream’s protective film on the skin. It is recommended to re-apply cream hourly depending on the activity.
- Apply plenty of sun cream all over your body! Sun cream only achieves the stated SPF when it is applied heavily and extensively. Studies make this quite clear – most people don’t use enough sun cream. As a result, the protective film is too thin and you cannot get full protection.
- Protective clothing! Besides sun cream, clothing is also a good way to protect your skin from the damaging UV rays, UVA, and UVB. The same applies to your head – think about high-quality sunglasses and suitable headgear.
- Shade is crucial! Continuous exposure to the blazing sun is a disaster for the many types of skin and leads to sunburns and worse in many cases. Give your skin a chance to relax and look for shade. This relieves the skin – especially at midday when the sunlight is at its most intense. You should apply the sun cream on your skin in the shade.

What is titanium dioxide?
Titanium is a natural metal, its oxide is titanium oxide.
Applications of titanium dioxide:
Titanium dioxide has a wide range of uses – toothpaste, sun cream, chewing gum, drugs, cough sweets, and even paper coatings, paints, and correction fluid. The opaque white in your children’s paintbox is made out of titanium dioxide.
Titanium dioxide is also a food coloring that has the registration number E 171 for food additives. Titanium oxide is used by the food industry as a colorant and gives food/drugs a bright white color. The white is caused by a total spread of the light on the pigment particles.
Titanium dioxide in our sun cream:
An important use of titanium dioxide is sun protection. The UV radiation is reflected by the small metal particles and doesn’t reach the deeper layers of our skin – a mineral light protection filter that reflects the radiation and protects the skin.
Sun creams with mineral filters have existed for a long time. People who have children know the white, sticky, viscous pastes that have to be spread on the skin to get light protection. However, for us, such a thick sun cream was NOT practical.
In order to circumvent this “white layer” effect, we used titanium dioxide as a nanoparticle because nano-sized titanium dioxide is transparent and leaves no white film behind as a result. According to studies, however, the effect of nanoparticles on the human body is not clear or, in other words, there are possible side effects because these nanoparticles can penetrate the skin barrier because of its < 100 nm size and thus enter the bloodstream. There are still questions regarding the effect of nanoparticles on titanium dioxide in the body - so titanium dioxide nanoparticles are also not an alternative for us.
Titanium dioxide, which is used in our sun cream, is not in the nano range. They are bigger pigments that CANNOT enter the skin! Ideally-sized titanium dioxide pigments that are comfortable to carry on the skin are used, but they are not in the nano range. The titanium dioxide particles are also coated with another special procedure:
- SPF 30 sun cream is coated with corundum (a purified clay) and reaches a size of 400-600 nm.
- SPF 45 sun cream is coated with silicon and reaches a size of 140-170 nm.
With this adapted technology on titanium dioxide, it is possible to make a natural sun cream range that is also practical.
Production of titanium dioxide
The focus on people’s health is the ecological view of the environment. With titanium dioxide in NON-nanoparticle form, we are doing the most as is technically possible for people’s health and, in our eyes, the sun cream is far superior to all of the commercial alternatives with parabens, microplastics, alcohol, allergens, etc.
Let’s focus on ecology – this aspect is also significant. Extracting the oxide from the natural titanium requires a chemical process. Depending on the chemical process chosen, the ecological burden on the environment is more or less strong, but there is still a question that needs to be answered. We build on that topic and the evolution of our BIO and ecological sun cream goes on.
Are effective alternatives in the form of plant-based, natural oils available?
As is so often the case, the answer is YES and NO. Available YES, but NOT nearly as effectve. Plant-based and natural oils can care for our skin. Some oils are natural antioxidants because they provide the skin with valuable vitamin E – this can delay the aging process, for example. The oils also have healing and protective properties for our skin.
However, the sun protection is unfortunately limited, so sunbathing with the natural protection of the natural oils must be a lot more sensible than with a sun lotion or cream with sun protection factor. Sesame oil is among the most effective natural sunscreens.
- Sesame oil can block up to 30% of the UV radiation.
- Followed by coconut oil, which can block up to 20% of the UV radiation.
Olive oil is very similar in that it can also block 20% of the UV radiation, but it does not smell as nice as coconut oil. Aloe Vera Gel for care is also great. It may not provide sun protection, but it is extremely pleasant, cooling, and healing after staying in the sun for longer periods of time.
